Your details, plainly.
I keep as little as I can, I use it only to reply to you, and I never sell it or pass it on.
Who I am
This website is mine — Kandace Williamson. I am responsible for the information on this page. If you want to ask me anything about your details, email hello@kandacewilliamson.com.
Sending me a message
The form on the Work With Me page asks for three things: your name, your email address and whatever you want to tell me about the project. I use them to read what you sent and to reply — nothing else.
Your message arrives as an email in my inbox. I keep enquiries for about a year so I can look back at a conversation, then they go. If something turns into a piece of work, I keep the paperwork for that as long as I need to for tax.
You are not added to a mailing list for getting in touch. There isn't one.
Counting visits
I use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits without cookies and without anything that identifies you. It tells me how many people looked at the work this week. It cannot tell me who they were, and that is exactly why I chose it.
The website itself
The server keeps a short record of requests made to the site, including the internet address they came from, and a line for each message sent through the form. That is there to spot someone trying to break in or to flood the form with spam, and it is deleted when the site is next updated.
One case study page embeds a video from YouTube, so Google can see your internet address if you open that page and may set its own cookies. The fonts and images are served from my own site, not from anyone else's.
Who else sees any of this
Appy Web Studio, who build and run this website for me, and the email service they use to deliver form messages to my inbox. Both only handle it to provide their service. Nobody buys this information and nobody is given it for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will do it. You can also tell me to stop using it. Just email me; you do not need to explain why, and it costs nothing.
If you are not happy
Tell me first and I will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
